- Maryland Health Professions Licensing Boards: Maryland has exceptions to its licensure requirements in statute for provider consultations, sports physicians, physicians employed by the federal government, and for certain services if the service meets particular requirements. Maryland also has an expedited licensure pathway for certain out-of-state physicians.
