There are several sources for telehealth courses and certificate programs. This list will focus on those being offered either within the MATRC Region or available nationally online:
- AHA Professional Education Hub - Telehealth Portfolio: There are multiple modules available through this platform, including the 8 hour online CORE Concepts in Telehealth Certificate Program course.
- The American Heart Association Center for Telehealth is pleased to offer complimentary access to select premium telehealth courses for a limited time. These courses offer the opportunity to earn multiple hours of Continuing Education (CE) credit and provide the latest in evidence-based telehealth science, absolutely free. Redeem this offer by June 30th, 2026 to receive your free course.

- California TRC Telehealth Course Finder. This resource created by the CTRC lists telehealth focused training courses. It is not inclusive or vetted, but is a growing list.
- Harborview Behavioral Health Institute. A free monthly webinar training series is offered the third Friday of each month from 2 PM - 3 PM ET, with accredited on-demand sessions also available. The series are for all levels of behavioral health providers.
- MedEdStat: Healthcare Education Online: The Board Certified-TeleMental Health (BC-TMH) credential was created to ensure safe and effective practices for mental health professionals working in a variety of disciplines and is available for a fee. MedEdState also offers several other telehealth related courses.
- Missouri Telehealth Network Interprofessional Telehealth Training Program: This training will give learners a greater understanding of telehealth and how telehealth technology can streamline collaborative care to enhance communication, equity, and safety. Continuing Education Credits are available for a small fee.
- Northwest Regional Telehealth Resource Center Course Catalog: The Northwest Regional TRC has developed several free online modules in partnership with different universities and other entities. These modules also include a multi-part series for Telebehavioral Health.
- Telehealth Certification Institute offers hundreds of online courses, certification programs, webinars and-in-person trainings. The primary focus of these courses are topics of mental/behavioral health relevance.
- Telehealth Classroom is hosted and facilitated by the Northeast TRC and the Collaborative for Advancing Rural Excellence and Equity. There are many offerings in their course catalog. Courses are free, but registration is required.
- Telehealth.org has developed a large course catalog of CME.CE courses covering a variety of telehealth topics and formats. There is a fee associated with the courses.
- Telehealth Village is a virtual community of telehealth and clinical experts creating a comprehensive platform for telehealth education. These courses educate physicians, nurses, administrators, IT teams and policymakers with engaging, interactive content. This is a collaboration between the University of Virginia (UVA) Karen S. Rheuban Center for Telehealth, MATRC and the UVA Office of Continuing Medical Education and the CITI Program.
- Thomas Jefferson University Telehealth Certificate Program offers a series of micro courses that are fully online and self-paced.
- University of Delaware Advanced Telehealth Coordinator Certificate is a 15-week online certificate course.
- University of Kentucky College of Health Sciences Advanced Telehealth Education included Telehealth 101 and a Graduate Certifcate in Telehealth comprised of three 3-credit graduate courses offered in consecutive order (summer, fall, spring) with new cohorts accepted each summer.
