- UPMC Uses Telehealth to Help New Moms Dealing with Hypertension: Two years after launching a remote patient monitoring program for new mothers dealing with hypertension, UPMC is looking at lessons learned and making plans to expand the telehealth platform.
- New Clinics Use Telehealth to Bring VR Treatments to the Patient’s Home: This March, payers and care providers in eight states and the District of Columbia will be able to prescribe VR therapy through a telehealth clinic, giving patients the chance to receive treatment at home.
- Emergency Triage, Treat and Transport (ET3) Model Selected Applicants List has been released by CMS! Congrats to the many selected applicants in the MATRC region, including in DC, KY, MD, NJ, NC, PA, VA and WV!
- Bay Rivers Telehealth Alliance Receives 2020 Best of Tappahannock Award! - West Virginia Payer Adds mHealth Tools to Substance Abuse Treatment. Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield is giving is 325,000+ members in West Virginia access to a substance abuse treatment program that includes mHealth tools.
- DC Medicaid Program Gives Moms-to-Be Access to mHealth, Remote Monitoring. Amerigroup DC is partnering with Babyscripts to give expectant moms in DC-area hospitals mHealth access to prenatal education and resources, as well as care coordination and remote patient monitoring services.
- mHealth App to Boost Telehealth Access for New Mothers in WV. Participants in the West Virginia Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for WIC now have 24/7 access to an mHealth app that provides telelactation access.
- Maryland Legislators Ready to Debate Expanding Telehealth Definition. Separate bills before Maryland’s House and Senate aim to expand the definition of telehealth to include asynchronous platforms, after the state’s medical board enacted an audio-video-only rule last year.
- School-Based Telehealth Makes Health a Priority for Teachers, Providers. School-based telehealth programs are connecting educators and providers through technology to ensure every child has a chance at good health and a good education.
