#FUNDING. The Delta Program supports and encourages the development of integrated health care networks to address unmet local health care needs and prevalent health disparities in rural Delta communities. The purpose of the Delta Program is to support organizations located in the eight Delta States (Alabama, Arkansas, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, and Tennessee) to promote the planning, implementation, and development of health care networks to: (i) achieve efficiencies; (ii) expand access to, coordinate, and improve the quality of essential health care services; and (iii) strengthen the rural health care system as a whole.
